As Thanksgiving approaches, we are celebrating what we are thankful for at Camp Restore Detroit! Our ministry wouldn’t be possible without so many incredible people and supporters! We could not begin to touch on all the things we are thankful for, so we have decided to highlight four.
The second aspect of our ministry we are thankful for is Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church! In 2016 when Mt. Calvary was asked to be the home of Camp Restore Detroit, the few members took a huge leap of faith by agreeing! Three years later a church and school which once had a floor of empty classrooms now has dorms to house 120 campers and a revitalized mission and heart to serve our community!
The Mt. Calvary members have truly embraced and encouraged the ministry of Camp Restore Detroit in many ways. Besides sharing a building and taking out a large loan, the members truly care and invest in the ministry of Camp Restore Detroit and want to see it succeed. Many Mt. Calvary members serve on the board of Camp Restore Detroit, help run camp, volunteer at outreach events, and donate their time, money, and gifts to forward the mission of Camp Restore Detroit. We are so thankful for Mt. Calvary, and all our partner churches, as Camp Restore Detroit continues to grow!
