As Thanksgiving approaches, we are celebrating what we are thankful for at Camp Restore Detroit! Our ministry wouldn’t be possible without so many incredible people and supporters! We could not begin to touch on all the things we are thankful for, so we have decided to highlight four.
The first aspect of our ministry we are thankful for is our campers! Without campers Camp Restore Detroit wouldn’t be here. Campers are what allow us to be in Detroit year-round serving with our community and helping restore hope in the 9th Precinct!
Construction
Campers and local volunteers have completed so many construction projects, both on Camp Restore Detroit’s campus and in the community. These projects build relationships with community members and help us grow our ministry and impact in our community!
Environmental
In partnership with our community, campers have cleared yards, empty lots, and sidewalks as we all work to make our neighborhood beautiful again. Even though these projects are long and hard, campers work tirelessly to improve the safety and appearance of our area.
Human Care
Most important, campers help us build long-lasting relationships with our community. Through outreach programs, Community BBQs, VBS, work sites, and more campers share the love of Christ with our community through their actions.
Do you want to be a camper at Camp Restore Detroit? Visit our website, send us an email at [email protected], or give us at call at 313-530-3522! We are open year-round and love campers of all ages, abilities, and gifts. We would love to plan a trip with you!
