This past weekend, we had our very first overnight group since we shut down last March! They were an incredible group of young people from Illinois who were on fire for Jesus. Joy radiated from them and their servant hearts were ready to take on any project they were given.
Saturday, our group took on the tool shed! They spent several hours organizing our tools as we prepare for our community clean-up projects this summer. This was no small task, but our group accomplished so much with a lot of laughter along the way!Â
 
Once the tool shed was set, the group began packing boxes of food to be distributed to some of our neighbors. After 50+ boxes were packed, we set out to deliver them all throughout the 9th Precinct.Â
  
 
  
To end the weekend, our team made their way to visit our dear friend Linda at Sweet Life Cake Shop! They picked out some delicious cupcakes and began their journey home to Illinois.
We were SO very blessed to have this group with us this weekend! This group may have been small in number, but God used them to do big things. We praise Him for their joyful hearts as they served as the hands and feet of Jesus here in our Detroit community.
