Our Recent Work Day

This last weekend, we had a work day on our campus to continue the remodeling on the dorms, continue progress in our gardens and clean up around our campus. People from across the city and the suburbs gathered to use their hands and feet for good and we want to say THANK YOU to all who came out!

We are so close to being able to house volunteers once again! With the completion of our lounge and work on the dorm rooms, we will soon be able to open our doors for overnight stays! This is a blessing and we can’t wait to fill our building once again.

Volunteer Stories

One of the volunteers shared how he saw God on the move on Saturday. Early that morning before coming to Camp Restore, this volunteer had been reading the daily devotion from Portals of Prayer. The devotion talked about Messy Gardens, how God can take something messy and make something beautiful. Our world is a messy place full of sin and brokenness. Some days it is easy to keep our focus on those things that aren’t so good. But God has promised to take what is messy and make something beautiful! Our neighbors have shared how excited they are about the garden spaces because the gardens are a safe and clean place to gather together, a beautiful place in the midst of a messy world if you will. As we worked in our gardens on Saturday, God gave us this incredible reminder that He is doing immeasurably more than we can see. We serve a Great God! (Garden pictures)

Throughout the day on Saturday, we spent time recording for our virtual fundraiser on December 4th! Many community leaders gathered to share what God has been doing right here in our neighborhood! We can’t wait to share these things with you. Join us virtually as we celebrate together! Visit https://camprestore.org/greaterthings2020/ to sign up!
