What’s New?

There are so many awesome things happening at Camp Restore Detroit these days. The gardens are taking off, the houses are ready for action, campers are signing up for next season, etc. It is awesome! This summer gave us a great opportunity to build deeper relationships with our community, have conversations about the dreams for this area, and work together to plan for the future.

Team Restore

With that, there is much work to be done! We are excited to create what’s called Team Restore to make these dreams come true! This team is a group of people from our community, our partner churches, and beyond who are coming together to use the gifts and talents God has given us to share hope in our community. Team Restore will have different committees that will focus on specific areas of Camp Restore. These committees include:

  • Gardens/Greenspace
  • Campers/Food/Welcoming
  • Housing (On Campus/Community)
  • Outreach (Kids/Adults)
  • PR
  • Volunteer Coordination
  • Projects

We want to invite you to join our team! If you are interested in joining this mission, please contact [email protected] or call 313.314.0530. We would love to chat with you about how you can get involved! Here at Camp Restore, we believe that God has hand-crafted each person, giving unique gifts and abilities. We would love for you to join us as we work together to restore hope in our Detroit community!

Volunteer Work Day

On November 6 at 6pm will be having our first virtual Team Restore meeting on zoom. We will give an overview of Team Restore, share about the individual committees and what each committee is responsible for, and end with a brief Q&A. Then you will have the opportunity to think and pray about which committee you’d like to be a part of! Please email [email protected] for the link to the meeting.

God’s blessings and we hope to see you there!
