North Dakota Campers at Work

Blogs, News from Detroit, The Latest

This past week we hosted a group of volunteers from North Dakota State University. They were a hard working group who were ready to get their hands dirty and serve in any way they could. Throughout the week, the team worked with community leaders to clear empty lots of land, remove garbage and debris, and prep garden boxes around a school in the neighborhood. They also worked with a group of community members who are working to restore an abandoned block in the community. Our volunteers worked hard removing brush and taking down a garage to prep the land surrounding the abandoned buildings.

This group was such a blessing to serve with this last week. We are thankful for the time they spent serving alongside our community. We also want to thank you for praying for our volunteers, for our staff, and for our community in the last few weeks. God has been so very good to us and we are simply rejoicing at the opportunity to have campers back in our community. We serve a pretty incredible God!
