The city of New Orleans is alive with the sound of MUSIC!!
I had the pleasure of attending the first weekend of 45th Annual New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. The festival embodies what we do best: food, music and love.
I listened to multiple musicians this weekend and experienced the true kindness of strangers that flourishes in the New Orleans festival scene. I saw local favorites like the Honey Island Swamp Band to the Grammy nominated Charlie Wilson.
This weekend was graced with beautiful weather, delicious one-of-a-kind food and great people.
I sampled everything from fried soft-shell crab, Creole cream cheesecake with strawberries, crawfish bisque, strawberry lemonade, cracklins and the list goes on.
This is a great time to visit New Orleans.
The weather is great for outdoor activities, there is a lot to be done in the community preparing for summer and wonderful festivals to experience all of our local flavor in one spot.
