Last Wednesday we got a call from Al and his wife, Mary Anne. They were going to Florida on vacation but wanted to stop by and say hi. They drove into Camp with their motorhome. When I saw Al I realized he’d worked with us in one of the volunteer groups from around two years ago – like Tony and the JetBlue pilot.
I showed Al and Mary Anne one of our projects. Al got very excited about helping install kitchen cabinets for this 107 year-old great, great, great grandmother. Al asked if “we could get the cabinets today.” We got the cabinets.
Al worked all Thanksgiving and Friday with us, and the cabinets were in! Saturday morning they continued on their vacation.
Many thanks for volunteers who give up their vacation time to help other people in need!
