A New Kitchen For Mrs. Lorraine

News from NOLA, The Latest

We’re closing in on our fundraising goal for a new kitchen at Camp Restore for Mrs. Lorraine!

Lorraine’s cooking is a key part of our mission, providing the fuel for all of the hauling, hammering, sanding, painting, digging, planting, and all the other projects volunteers complete every year in the New Orleans area.

To date, Mrs. Lorraine has done all of her cooking for Camp in kitchen trailers, most notably a wonderful unit provided by Orphan Grain Train. Unfortunately, OGT needed theirs back, and while we’ve managed to get by with a smaller substitute, a new, permanent kitchen is now needed.

The total project cost is estimated at $85,000. Prince of Peace has provided a 1-to-1 matching-gift challenge of $25,000!

Please consider making a donation today toward our “New Kitchen for Mrs. Lorraine,” and help ensure Camp Restore can continue energizing volunteers with Louisiana home cooking for years to come! Donations are being accepted through our online giving page and by mail:
