News from NOLA, The Latest

In theĀ late summer of 2017 theĀ United States experienced three Category-4 hurricane landfalls. Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria have inflicted tremendous damage.Ā Regular updates will be made here, as well as onĀ FacebookĀ andĀ Twitter.

Hurricane MariaĀ has knocked out power out across Puerto Rico and more than three million people areĀ continuing to assess the widespread damage.

Through our connections with Puerto Rican churches who’ve served with us in New Orleans, we are exploring ways we can help in the long term.

Irma andĀ Harvey

Our partners in the LCMS as well as fellow New Orleans-based nonprofits are developing volunteer sites in both Texas and Florida. We are working to come alongside in ways that are most-helpful as the long-term picture emerges.

If you would like to bring a volunteer group to Texas, Florida or Puerto Rico and have not yet contacted us, please completeĀ this form, indicating the location you are interested in serving, and we will provide you with the latest information.

We have designated special accountsĀ to raise funds; 100% of all donations marked “Hurricane Harvey Response,” “Hurricane Irma Response” or “Hurricane Maria Response” will be used where needed most in their respective affected areas.

Please consider making a donation by credit card at ourĀ online giving page, or by mailing a check to:
