In the late summer of 2017 the United States experienced three Category-4 hurricane landfalls. Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria have inflicted tremendous damage. Regular updates will be made here, as well as on Facebook and Twitter.
Maria
Hurricane Maria has knocked out power out across Puerto Rico and more than three million people are continuing to assess the widespread damage.
Through our connections with Puerto Rican churches who’ve served with us in New Orleans, we are exploring ways we can help in the long term.
Irma and Harvey
Our partners in the LCMS as well as fellow New Orleans-based nonprofits are developing volunteer sites in both Texas and Florida. We are working to come alongside in ways that are most-helpful as the long-term picture emerges.
