Editors Note (August, 2018): Camp Restore Baton Rouge has received its final volunteers after two years of operation and Trinity Lutheran Church is adapting the property for new uses in service to the Baton Rouge community.

In response to the August flooding in Southeast Louisiana, we have partnered with Trinity Lutheran Church – Baton Rouge, a member of the Southern District – LCMS and wide range of nonprofits to establish Camp Restore – Baton Rouge. Volunteer groups may book now.
Camp Restore – Baton Rouge is hosted at the Trinity Oaks retreat facility at 15160 S Harrells Ferry Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
Present capacity is 50 volunteers, in bunk beds provided by Lutheran Church Charities. Overflow volunteers will be housed at Camp Restore – New Orleans.
To supplement pre-existing restroom facilities, Orphan Grain Train has provided a mobile shower unit.
Early-response work, predominantly gutting, continues at present, following the service of Rev. Ed Brashier, the Southern District LCMS Disaster Response Coordinator and head of Shepherd’s Heart Disaster Response Ministry.
A transition will take place this Fall to long-term recovery work, in partnership with a number of nonprofits we’ve worked with in New Orleans: SBP, Habitat for Humanity, Rebuilding Together, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance and others.
