Camp Restore Tour

Welcome to Camp Restore!

Camp Restore is located at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and School in New Orleans East at 9301 Chef Menteur Hwy. We’ve welcomed Pierre A. Capdau Elementary School to our campus this Fall (2010) and have moved our camp activities to the church building, a remainder of the school building and bunkhouse units behind the school.

The new volunteer lounge is located in the former tool room, and is conveniently located between the bunkhouses and the new dining hall.

The former dining hall is now used by Pierre Capdau Elementary School, after feeding thousands of volunteers for four years.

The new dining hall is located inside the church building, and can easily house 150-plus!

The classrooms of Prince of Peace are classrooms once again! Here’s what they looked like while they were still bunk rooms!

Volunteer accommodations are now located in a “Volunteer Village” of air-conditioned bunkhouses behind the church and school.

The bunkhouses have room to comfortably house 150 volunteers a week. Volunteers bring their own sheets, pillows and sleeping bags.

At the back of the camp is the RV parking lot where long-term volunteers are able to hook up their own campers.

For volunteers that have extra energy after the workday but aren’t heading out on the town, an epic game of HORSE or 21 at the Camp Restore court has been a fun way to unwind—and now it’s full court!
